We recognise that each child is unique, and from the very visit we begin the process of getting to know each child’s individual stage of development. Our observations, along with parent’s views and input, allow us to establish clear understanding of starting points to prepare the building blocks for a happy resilient child.

Through our carefully planned environment that is designed to support children’s exploration and curiosity, educators observe and play alongside children. This allows our team to further learning opportunities in the moment’ so that the activities are purposeful and relevant to the child’s current interests and next steps. Areas for focus are identified for each individual child and are incorporated within their play with their key person and/or in group activities.

Each day we provide opportunities to support children in all 7 areas of the early years foundation stage (EYFS). This is balanced with free play indoors and an abundance of outdoor and beach play where children can choose their own play activity, moving around freely, making choices and building and developing their own friendships.

​

We love to explore the natural environment around us by visiting local beaches and woodlands and have a large out door classroom with mud kitchen, sand pits, play area, bike track, football pitch, tunnels, toddler area, and raised veggie patches.

As each child progresses through nursery they grow in confidence in preparation

for that all important first day at school.

 In addition to our pre-school and nursery we also operate an out of school and holiday club all year round called "Sharks" which offer a variety of fun filled activities for ages 4yrs(Reception) to 10yrs old. Please enquire for a full range of activities planned.
